Akvile Magicdust is an illustrator and painter based in Lithuania. She uses vivid, tropical colours to create surreal and dreamy poetic stories. Always adding her own magic filter, her signature style is flat, bold and powerful.
Akvile’s inspiration and fresh ideas come from fanzines, graffiti, skateboarding and DIY culture, while her comic details are rooted in reality - from travelling, landscape photography and listening to conversations in the street. She lists one of her fourteen favourite colours as ‘fresh finger cut’ and describes herself as ‘a bat on a skateboard’.
Her previous clients include Vanity Fair, Marie Claire and Vice, amongst others.
